We’ve published our latest statistics on the education workforce in Wales today.

The Annual education workforce statistics for Wales 2020 represents our most comprehensive set of data to date for over 80,000 registered practitioners across schools, further education (FE), work-based learning and youth work settings in Wales.

Based on information taken from the EWC’s Register of Education Practitioners, the publication includes statistics which highlight categories, such as age, ethnicity, and gender, as well as qualifications and subjects. This edition sees data on the ethnicity, nationality and Welsh language ability of school learning support workers and youth work practitioners for the first time.
