Director of Finance and Corporate Services
Salary: £76,716 – £88,023
Location: Cardiff (Hybrid working – minimum 3 days/week in office)

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the EWC’s financial operations, corporate services, HR, and information systems. You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, financial reporting, audit, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, while also overseeing day-to-day operations in a hands-on capacity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic financial planning and budget management
- Oversight of HR, facilities, IT, and administrative functions
- Leading internal and external audit processes
- Developing income generation opportunities and new workstreams
- Ensuring compliance with Welsh Government financial conditions and broader legislative requirements
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a qualified finance professional (e.g. ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA) with:
- A proven track record in financial management and governance
- Senior leadership experience in a multi-functional role
- Strong strategic thinking and operational delivery skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities
Welsh language skills and experience in HR and corporate services management are desirable for this post.
