We're pleased to announce that three programmes of initial teacher education (ITE) submitted by CaBan Bangor have gained accreditation from our ITE Accreditation Board.
Following a rigorous assessment by the Board in October, the programmes have been accredited for a period of five years, subject to conditions.
The programmes which are due to run from September 2021 are:
- BA Primary
- PGCE primary
- PGCE secondary
At the moment CaBan Chester (Caer) / Bangor North Wales Partnership runs programmes for ITE students from Bangor University and the University of Chester. The accreditation period for these expires in August 2021.
Although the partnership has been beneficial to both universities involved, the University of Chester has not applied for accreditation with Bangor University this time.
All programmes of ITE submitted by partnerships in Wales are assessed, evaluated, and monitored against criteria set by the Welsh Government.
